The Adventures of… PROPS! – Back on the Run
Back on the Run. Maldo & I recently signed up for a Half Marathon on May 2nd to raise money and awareness for Generosity Water .
Did you know that 1 in 6 people worldwide do not have access to clean drinking water?
Did you know that every 15 seconds, a child dies from a water-related disease?
To help keep us on track with our training we enlisted our running crew Carl & Katawi, and started a Nike+ online challenge (Most Miles in March).
I took the mean “L” last time…

The Handbook: Bottled Up
The Handbook: Ditch the Zit (30/30)

You can control most break outs by using the proper cleaning regime. We strongly suggest Glimpse the clean & green mangosteen powered skin care system that gives you that smooth, hydrated, and radiant steez.
But sometimes the damn thing just pop up. Whatever you do, resist the urge to pop it. It’ll only make it bigger, redder, stronger. Instead, apply a salicylic acid treatment and if you really need to get rid of of the redness for say, a big meeting or first date, then dab on a little hydrocortisone cream.

Drops: Bill Gates Hatches a plan to kill the rich… well not really
“I brought some. Here I’ll let them roam around. There is no reason only poor people should be infected.”
First reported on social networking site Twitter, Facebook’s Senior Platform Manager Dave Morin blogged, “Bill Gates just released mosquitos into the audience at TED.”
The Handbook: Cold Showers? (3/31)

“The number one mistake guys make in the winter is taking long, hot showers,” says Andrew Goetz, one half of the stylish grooming brand Malin + Goetz. “I know they feel nice in the morning, but they’ll dehydrate your skin very quickly.” Your best best is to kick up the thermostat, keep the water warm, not hot, and slather on a little lotion after toweling off.
Happy Mothers Day
In honor of Mother’s Day, here’s a gift for Mom.
Eat an Apple!

I eat at least one a day, usually for my mid-morning snack. Gala is my favorite followed by Red Delicious and I pride myself on being a beast in picking the perfect apple in the supermarket. Only the ones with stems that are firm and free of bruises make it to my plastic baggie. I can literally spend 10 minutes picking apples alone which is why I grocery shop early in the AM when no one is around…
Seriously, when was the last time you ate an apple? They are a great source of fiber and Vitamin C and can help improve your health in several ways:
-Lower Cholesterol
-Reduce risk of Heart Disease
-Prevent Kidney Stones
-May reduce the risk of Breast Cancer
-May prevent Menopausal Bone Loss
last but not least…
-Keeps you regular…

Water – Don’t take it for granted.
Water is so essential for our survival and it is something that here and in most developed countries we take for granted. I remember watching Jay-Z’s MTV special “Water for Life” last year and being so inspired to do something.
A year later, I have not done anything as far as donating money to fund a water pump or anything of that sort, but I definitely try to drink more than I did before. With the focus on protecting the environment and then fact that a gallon of gas is over $4, I have resorted to carrying a water bottle that I refill throughout the day instead of buying bottled water as I did a year ago.
Baby steps…
Are you drinking enough water? Most studies suggest about half your weight in ounces.
Remember to appreciate the essential ‘luxury’.
