Sports Sound Off: Shani, Shaun & Vonn
Finally, the USA step up & grabbed some Gold in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Even more impressive was the Olympics defeating American Idol in the rating. Now that’s something.

Shani Davis from Chi-town became the first African American to defend his Long Track Speed Skating Gold. Talk about a record that won’t be broken in this generation, if ever.
The 10 million dollar man Shaun White won in snowboarding. Ho hum. He’s the Man. White’s double McTwist 1260 (off axis double, front flip with three & a half spins). Can someone say “Killer” or “Game Over”.
Lastly Lindsey Vonn went from S.I. swimsuit issue to the Gold w/ a bum ankle. She caught a break with the weather & got an extra couple of days of healing, than smoked the downhill. Seriously, (Hate Alert) if the competition was any good, she shouldn’t have been able to win. Injuries almost 100% of the time will knock you down a peg in sports. She still won. Translation= weak field.
Enough Olympics. I’m getting ready for TIGER!! This is MUST SEE TV.

Shani Davis simple proved my point while sitting on the good ole couch watching the games. My point was soon as blacks get involved in the sport they take it over. We were in discussion when he crosses the finish line gold and i said I told you SO….
