Quote of the Day: J.D. Salinger (R.I.P.)

“I’d just be the catcher in the rye” –
J.D. Salinger

Author J.D. Salinger past last week. His 1951 book The Catcher in the Rye still sells ¼ of a million copies per year.

It was his first & only novel. Quit after perfection. Now that’s gangsta.

The main character personified angst and is unpredictable in his likes and dislikes of people and things (Sound familiar).

Take the pillow from your head & put a book in it. (KRS One).

Salinger was one of Tomo’s fav authors – there were other stories. Especially treasured were ones featuring the Seymour Glass family including Franny & Zoie. RIP
