Sports Sounds Off: SenseLess

The death of Chris Henry was tragic to me. Here you have this young, gifted young man (26), Blessed with God given talent getting killed by domestic violence. Die saving a child’s life of taking a bullet for your spouse, but not over an argument.
Chris Henry was one of the fortunate to make it to the NFL. He could feed his family. He could give them a better life then he had. His entire family benefited from him & the window of opportunity once wide opened has closed greatly.

All the hard work this man put into his profession was gone in an instance. Pop Warner, High School, College… The 60 minutes we see them perform is a nothing compared to the work & dedication he had to put in. The NFL ain’t no joke. Sure they’ll get another player from the plantation to fill his spot, but his family will have to go it alone without him forever. That’s sad.
Next time you’re having a cold one or a shot, salute Chris Henry. R.I.P.
