Hailed out of Ohio State as the second coming of Bill Russell (11 rings to Jordon’s 6), this 45 year old looking center was the overall Number 1 pick over Kevin Durrant ( currently average 25ppg for the surprising 10-9 Thunder). This is going to be a Sam Bowie-Jordan scenario 10 years from now.
Have Faith old looking young Man. Another Hall of Famer experienced similar misfortunate events in his NBA career. Bill Walton had all kinds of foot injuries before eventually winning 2 Rings. So for a nickname (I know I’m ripping of SLAM magazine), I’m going with Plastic Man, S.B. (for Sam Bowie) or Greg “I let Ohio down” Olden.

Sadly, I don’t think he’ll ever play long enough to have a nickname. Even more sad is that from now on, any player that gets hurt too often will be nicknamed Oden…
