A few weeks before going to Spain, La Maison Louis Vuitton sent us the whole Louis Vuitton and Kanye West shoe collection at the office. The luxury brand gave us the opportunity to organise a photoshoot in the streets, and produce an exclusive lifestyle photos story for La MJC website. As far as I know, it’s the first time the shoes are showed in a real situation, and it’s also the first time that a website published such a fashion story. I have to admit, since I got my hands on them, I’ve changed my mind. They are really impressive in person and I’m in love with the white Mr Hudson.

Its about that time again, not to overshadow the death of MJ but the LEGENDARY ROOTS CREW is releasing a new album (THANK YOU JESUS). Here is the title track off their new album “How I Got Over”. Performed on Jimmy Fallon’s show on June 25th where they are also the house band every night. I am amped for the new jawn comin soon.

For the past year, as part of his WOMEN project, JR has been involved in a large-scale event in the oldest favela (shanty town) of Rio de Janeiro. In August 2008, some 20 gigantic portraits of women living in the favela were pasted on more than 40 houses. For the first time, it was art and culture that put Morro da Providencia in the headlines: it has had the reputation of being the most dangerous favela in Rio.

It all began after a non-stop flight from New York to Beaverton that brought NYLON Magazine to Nike’s Innovation Summit. After a visit to Nike’s campus, the Innovation Kitchen, and meeting some of our top designers, a friendship was born. It is from this friendship that a dialogue between NYLON and Nike Design would come to result in a project that stands as a true collaboration between two partners determined to express themselves in the best way they know how – through design.

Blake Griffith will be holding it down for the light-skin brothers. Back in the late 70’s, the light skin brother was DA Man (Leon Isaac, Pretty Ricky, etc), but that all change with Wesley Snipes.
The darker the berry…became mainstream. D. Wade’s of the world are getting all the Love. Even Nike what’s his name got my Forever Girl Mariah for a JoyRide. LeBron is a beast on the court but he aint no good looking man. Enter Blake Griffith. I think the dude is a bigger Lebron. He is taller version and once he gets on that A-Rod OH BOY.

Sports Sound Off: Kobe Gets Off In Colorado
In an unprecedented move, NBA Finals MVP, KOBE BRYANT announced that instead of going to Disney, the new KING of the NBA (sorry LeBron) would be “getting off in Colorado”. When asked what he meant, Kobe of Hawaiian & Soaphie fame responded “legally & figuratively”.
That trade of Kwame Brown for Gasol (orchestrated by the league) started the wheels in motion to LA’s 15 Championship. (Memphis GM was former Laker GM Jerry West wink wink).
