Sports Sound Off: Sinakill & the Beast – Playoff Edition

Tax Return day is 4/15/09, BUT the 18th is when the ACTION starts. 40 games -40 nights. If you don’t believe the NBA is great, wait until it’s over. You will feel the pain of Baseball.
The story going into the playoff is the return of Andrew Bynum (LA Lakers). He pulled a “I’ll be ready” last year & then folded like an envelope on crack. Last night verse the Nuggets he got 13 minutes in the 1st half. He was wearing a knee brace & of course he had been to Taco Bell more than he should have, but the dude is TALL/HUGE. He’s big but the cats’ game is weak like Mr. Softie ice cream.

Drops: Web Trend Map 4 – Final Beta

Every year, the Information Architects will post the Web Trend map which likes the Tokyo Metro map according to the traffic, revenuse and trend… This is the fourth version, big pic(6740 x 4768).
“It maps the 333 most influential web domains and the 111 most influentical Internet people onto the Tokyo Metro map. Domains are carefully selected by the iA research team through dialogue withe map enthusiasts. Each domain is evaluated based on traffic, revenuse, age and the company that owns it. The iA design team assigns these selected domains to individual stations on the Tokyo Metro map in ways that complement the character of each. For example, Twitter is located in Shibuya this year, as Shibuya is the spot with biggest buzz.”

Sports Sound Off: A-Rod is a clubhouse guy? In a manner of speaking, yes.
A friend asked me this question last week: How many consecutive columns could I extract from Alex Rodriguez?
My final answer: 10. No modern athlete brings more to the idea table. He plays in New York for a team that stopped making the World Series as soon as he arrived. He has made statistical history but cheated to do it. He’s our highest-paid athlete in a tanking economy. He’s the star client of this generation’s most despised agent. He’s handsome and articulate, only his polished personality is so contrived nobody can connect to him. If gossip rags and blogs had a Thank God for This Athlete fantasy draft, he’d unquestionably be the first pick.
We love to question clutch; he’s notorious for coming through in small moments and choking in big ones. We love shortening sports names into catchy monikers; “A-Rod” works perfectly. We love taking those monikers and turning them into catty jokes; “A-Roid” works perfectly. We love “what ifs?” and he’s provided two classics: What if that trade to Boston had happened, and what if the 2004 Yanks had finished that sweep at Fenway and A-Rod had become a playoff hero?

Sports Sound Off: NCAA Championship

I have one question, has MSU gotten off the bus yet? For crying out loud, it would be an understatement to say they didn’t get they door’s blown off last night. I’ll be honest my “Angry Whopper” had more of chance against my pack of Rolaids and an empty stomach.
Seriously, I could only watch bit’s and pieces of the game because it was way outta control as well as Jack Bauer and Tony Almedia (24)were in a classic episode that reminded me of the lick’s and stunts me and Prop’s used to pull off back in day the behind Rappold’s Pizza in Columbus’s shady eastside.
Stimulate the Economy: Gucci Viaggio Travel Luggage Collection

As one of the newest luggage collections from Gucci, the Gucci Viaggio (Viaggio is Italian for travel) series is based upon clean aesthetics with a certain degree of travel performance. The material at hand is based on a durable, lightweight resin material. A firm representation of the brand is seen via a rubber emblem. Depending on the needs and tasks at hand, the collection has most bases covered from specific uses for laptops to carry-alls and rolling luggage. The collection which debuted last year is available now at select Gucci retailers.
