Review: Kanye West – 808s & Heartbreak

Stunning Visuals, for the ears. © Wes Lexner
Just over a year after his classic release, Graduation, Kanye West puts out another solid album by the name of 808′s and Heartbreaks.

808′s is a collection of songs that venture into the themes of love lost and sorrow (hence the title). Though there has been a lot of uncertainty of what the album will sound like, I can tell you that its a lot of auto tune and heavy bass lines with african drum influence. Masterful production which has become Kanyes staple flows the the album with crip sounds that sound full and carry through the air like a warm summer day. Definately should be a pick up on mostly everybodys music list. So buy this one people.

4.5 really? its not really a great concept, the production is great and the songs are catchy, but its just a real corny concept that’ll put a happy man into depression, u know?
