Eat an Apple!
I eat at least one a day, usually for my mid-morning snack. Gala is my favorite followed by Red Delicious and I pride myself on being a beast in picking the perfect apple in the supermarket. Only the ones with stems that are firm and free of bruises make it to my plastic baggie. I can literally spend 10 minutes picking apples alone which is why I grocery shop early in the AM when no one is around…
Seriously, when was the last time you ate an apple? They are a great source of fiber and Vitamin C and can help improve your health in several ways:

The French Open begins play in a few weeks(5/20/08). The French is play on clay which is considered a slow surface. This gives players with stamina and shot making ability a chance verses the wham, bam thank you ma’me of Wimbledon or the US OPEN. Personally, it is my favorite major.
Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are the obvious favorites on the men’s side. If Federer can take the championship, he will earn the career Grand Slam(winning all majors). This achievement has eluded such tennis greats as Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe and Ivan Lendel.
On the ladies side, look for the Williams Sisters to be challenged by Justin Henin (ranked #1).
The sisters cannot just show up and think they can win. Those days are over. Look for Serena (ranked#6) to make some noise. She won last week and is on the top of her game.
No disrespect to the female athlete, but DAMM I love seeing her in tennis outfits with the COO-LO hanging out. TEll me she is not pregnant right now if that was yours!!!
ALL-NBA this year was a no brainer.This should be the team for the next 4-5 years. I can see YAO putting up big numbers next season to make things interesting, but there is no one else.

Water – Don’t take it for granted.
Water is so essential for our survival and it is something that here and in most developed countries we take for granted. I remember watching Jay-Z’s MTV special “Water for Life” last year and being so inspired to do something.
A year later, I have not done anything as far as donating money to fund a water pump or anything of that sort, but I definitely try to drink more than I did before. With the focus on protecting the environment and then fact that a gallon of gas is over $4, I have resorted to carrying a water bottle that I refill throughout the day instead of buying bottled water as I did a year ago.
Baby steps…
Are you drinking enough water? Most studies suggest about half your weight in ounces.
Remember to appreciate the essential ‘luxury’.

$500 Million Week for Grand Theft Auto
I guess I’m not the only one…
I’ve played through a couple sessions and I feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface of all the game has to offer.
It took a little while to get a hold of the controls. After that I was rolling. This game sucks up some time.
I haven’t even hoped on Multi player yet.

Obama sweeps N.C.; Clinton ekes out Indiana
Barack Obama took a sweeping victory in North Carolina, beating Hillary Clinton by 14 percentage points and boosting his lead in the delegate race. Clinton narrowly won Indiana, edging out Obama by 2 percentage points
While everyone was looking and hoping for a clear winner to emerge out of yesterdays primary action, Obama’s win in North Carolina and Clinton’s slight win in Indiana looks to send us into the next series of primaries.
I thought it was a good day for Obama. He seemed to have stepped his swagger back up. He previously seemed tired and worn from campaigning and cleaning up after the Rev.
He delivered another presidential speech
I honestly am growing tired and loosing interest in the whole thing.
I’ve been trying to keep up, but the Playoffs have just been more entertaining to me.
If it wasn’t for Obama spamming me two/three times a day because I made a donation earlier in the race (I get it. Your running for the nomination for president… It’s a close race)

Writing this after Pre Cinco De Mayo throw down of Patron & Red Bull (K.B.), so don’t be concern with this being coherent.
NBA playoffs have been bananas!! Even though the SUNS flamed out, the games were all close. Game one (double OT) took it’s toll on them.
T. MAC goes out in the first round AGAIN. This dude can’t catch a break.T. MAC re-established himself as 2nd team ALL NBA(check the numbers).
YAO would have been a tremendous asset this year. In the Playoffs, you need help.
Chris Paul is the Varsity playing the J.V. He is by far the player who makes the game look easy. He is so Janet Jackson ”In Control”.
Kobe’s got to work for his shots.
King James has to work hard.

The New York City Subway Map Gets a Retro Face-Lift.
NY Times – City Room (Swipe)
It was gorgeous. It was abstract. It was criticized. It was confusing. And it’s back.
With its 45- and 90-degree angles and one color per subway line, the 1972 subway map by Massimo Vignelli was divorced from the cityscape, devoid of street or neighborhood names. It was criticized because its water was not blue and its parks were not green. Paul Goldberger called it “a stunningly handsome abstraction” that “bears little relation to the city itself.”
Now Men’s Vogue has asked Mr. Vignelli to update his iconic subway map for the May design issue.
