“Nigger” to “Nas” – Nas Changes Album Name
News worthy? Not Really…
I thought the while “Nigger” album was a publicity stunt gone wrong.
I’m all about pushing the envelope, but he never (IMO) gave a decent explanation onto why the album was called that.
Aside from the cliche’ “Take the Power Back” spiel and all this pseudo intellectual bull shit. Nigga please…

Hopefully, Nas can come with something interesting. I’ve heard a few that have promise, but nothing that blew me out of the water.

You knew this was bound to happen at some point. I mean I wouldn’t have been surpised if like Best Buy and spots like that said we wont carry this.
But on the on the flip…it aint THAT long ago that NIGGAZ4LIFE was in stores on shelves.

I knew he wouldn’t go through with it. But you have to give the guy credit for knowing how to stir up media buzz for his upcoming album. Float it out there that you’re going to use the most offensive and controversial word in American culture as the title for your new album and – POW! – instant media frenzy!
Controversy sells – plain and simple. Apparently even feigned controversy.
